Brazil's Most Innovative Airline
Gol Transportes Aéreos is one of the largest airlines serving the Brazilian market. The airline's maiden flight took place in 2001 and connected the Brazilian capital with Sao Paulo. International operations began six years later with flights to Europe, and in later years its flight network continue to expand, providing flights to North and Latin America. Eventually, Gol arranged codeshares with a range of partner airlines such as Delta, Air France, Air Canada, Korean Air, Qatar Airways, KLM and Emirates among many others. Gol now operates nearly 900 flights every day, owns a fleet of 120 Boeing aircraft and employs more than 15,000 people.
Gol is known for its commitment to innovation as it was the first Brazilian airline to implement night flights, mobile check-in and e-tickets. Currently, this carrier has a third of Brazil's aviation market share.
