The exciting young airline based in Hong Kong
Established in 2006, Hong Kong Airlines launched its first passenger flights between Hong Kong and top destinations in the People's Republic of China. The airline is based in Hong Kong, with its main hub located at the major Chek Lap Kok International Airport. Within a short period of time Hong Kong Airlines has developed remarkably quickly and has a growing destination network that includes Bali, Auckland, Tokyo, Beijing, Seoul, Shanghai, Bangkok, Sapporo, Colombo and Okinawa. As well as the Asia Pacific area and Gold Coast, the airline is now extending its scheduled routes to Vancouver in North America. Since 2011, Skytrax has awarded the airline the highly-esteemed 4-star rating for its welcoming service and its excellent onboard quality of customer care.
Hong Kong Airlines boasts one of the youngest aircraft fleets in the world with the age of their aeroplanes averaging around five years. Passengers can enjoy state-of-the-art in-flight entertainment systems installed on all of their aircraft which totals around 30 passenger planes. The company logo is inspired by the beautiful bauhinia flower from the Hong Kong Orchid tree which is considered a national emblem. Over the years it has received many awards such as "Airline of the Year" by ISPY and "Most Liked International/Regional Airline" by Feike Travel Awards. In 2016 the company proudly celebrated its 10th Anniversary with an array of distinguished guests and used the occasion to launch ″Flying Beyond″, its next phase of development and expansion.
