Introduction to Iberia
Spain's national carrier, Iberia has been serving customers since 1927. Starting out as a private enterprise, the airline was nationalised in 1944, then reprivatised in 2001. Since then, the Madrid based airline has merged with British Airways, consolidating the fleets of two of Europe's biggest aviation companies, while it has also struck codeshare agreements with airlines like Finnair and American Airlines. The airline flies to almost 100 destinations, covering 26 Spanish cities and 63 global cities, including Cairo, Dublin and Mumbai.
