By Car to Düsseldorf Airport

The airport is directly connected to the A44 highway, making it easy to reach. There are clear signs that guide you to the right parking garages depending on whether you want to park short or long-term. Thanks to a good network of highways (A3, A52, A57), the airport is easily accessible from the Netherlands and other parts of Germany.

Dropping someone off? You can do so for free at the Kiss & Fly zone. Want to stay a bit longer to pick up your loved ones directly at the terminal? We recommend parking at P12, where you can park for €6 for up to 90 minutes.

Extra Tip

If you’re traveling by car, we have a tip to help you save on parking costs: If you reserve your parking spot in advance online, a week will cost you just €50. This is valid for the P24 parking lot, from where it's less than a 15-minute walk to the terminal.

Public Transportation to Düsseldorf Airport

Train: More than 350 trains stop daily at Düsseldorf Flughafen station, ranging from local S-Bahn trains to faster intercity trains (ICEs). This station is located on the east side of the airport. You can easily travel from the station to the terminal via the SkyTrain, an automatic cabin lift. The S-Bahn S11 is the only train that stops at the Düsseldorf Airport Terminal station, which is located in the basement of the terminal building. This train runs from Bergisch Gladbach through Düsseldorf Central Station to the airport.

Bus: The bus station at Düsseldorf Airport is conveniently located near the main Arrival hall, where you can catch several buses. Line 721 takes you via the central station to Tannenhof, while line 760 goes to Ratingen. The SB51 connects you to Kaarst-Rathaus, and during trade fairs, there is even a bus to the exhibition center.

Additionally, there is also a bus station at the airport's train station. From here, buses 729, 759, and 776 take you to various destinations, ideal for those who want to travel flexibly and quickly!
